  • "I’ve spent my entire life living in my head and in survival mode. I was unable to hear anything my body was telling me and it wasn’t until complete extremes, like a burnout, where I knew something was wrong but still pushed through because I wasn’t listening, that I knew I had to change. After six weeks of working with Gráinne I now have a mind body connection and I am able to understand what my body is telling me. It might be something simple like being able to acknowledge if I am eating something that doesn’t make me feel good or something bigger like knowing that I’m in a stressful situation and I need to take appropriate action. About Mindful Mamas

Mindful mamas was dreamt up by two mamas who wanted a space for mothers to come together, to be present, to connect, to heal and to rest. The main offering of Mindful Mamas care is a women’s circle for mothers that offers mindfulness, meditation, yoga therapy, gentle yoga and yoga nidra. It is facilitated by twin sisters Gráinne Turley Gibson (Clinical Psychologist, Yoga Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher) and Dearbhla Turley Byrnes (Yoga & Meditation teacher, Nutrition and Lifestyle coach and Pharmacist).

When Gráinne and Dearbhla became mothers, both experienced wanting to be with the babas every minute of every day, the high rush of love but also wanting and needing a break. Experiencing both appearing opposite things at the same time. Everything else also changes, your relationship with your partner and wider family goes through adjustments, and it's a massive shift in identity. We created this space to give mindful mamas a space to explore this as they navigate motherhood whilst remembering who they are too.
